Baby’s Got Back – Kardashian Style

As the Kardashian mass media branding Kampaign arrived in New York earlier today, the trio of money maker sisters landed to celebrate the one year anniversary of the Kardashian Kollection at Sears.

With the official party planned for Sears in Yonkers, (yes that’s right,) the Kardashian Klan presented their new line at ‘Good Morning America.

In addition to their signature black and white, there were pops of red faux fur as well as the launch of two new lines – Kardashian Denim and Kardashian Optical.

Stonewashed jeans dubbed ‘The Kim’ hug every curve and are also available in their Plus Size line, Kardashian Kurves.  Sure to be a winner in the designer jeans category, these looked very modern and particularly Kardashian, highlighting their famous ‘best asset.’

Kardashians on ‘Good Morning America’

For all you Kardashian fans, the season finale of ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians‘ which airs this Sunday on E! will bring viewers up to date with Khloe and Lamar’s fertility issues as well as the continued midlife makeover of mama maven perky Kris Jenner.

To mark the milestone, the sisters offered a special deal for “GMA” viewers and fans on Kardashian Kollection apparel, shoes and home products for $25 off a purchase of $75 or more.

Visit sears.com and use the special promo code, KKANNIVERSARY, to score the deal. The discount is limited to one time use only and valid through 9/15/12. See the fine print on Sears.com.

Needham Real Estate: Tear Downs Make Way For New Construction

New construction and the associated tear down of older and smaller homes is alive and well in Needham.

For the eight month period from 1/1/2011 to 8/31/2011 twenty nine new construction single family homes were sold in Needham with an average sale price of $1,312,956. The 29 homes represented 14.3% of the total number of homes sold.

For the same eight month period in 2012 the number of new construction single family home sales increased by 20.7% to 35 homes. The total number of homes also increased proportionally so that new construction represented 14.8% of sales.

The average sale price of new construction homes and the corresponding per square foot price remained stable in Needham for this period.

Fast forward 30 years and at this rate, Needham may not have any smaller/older homes left to tear down.

Dunkin’ Donuts Sprays Smell of Coffee In New Ad Campaign

It used to be, “If it walked like a duck….”

But now, it’s going to be, “If it smells like coffee, let me find a Dunkin’ Donuts – PRONTO!”

Remember those annoying sniffer samples in magazines that when scratched released perfume samples into your nasal passages and home?

Brilliant advertising concept for sure; in fact the inventor continues to be rewarded handsomely for such an aromaful technique to persuade the masses to try specific perfumes and colognes in the burgeoning scent market.

But now, Dunkin’ Donuts is pushing the proverbial envelope a bit further, with an ingenious new advertising campaign which utilizes the smell of coffee sprayed on buses, to plant the desire to purchase Dunkies to those commuting on buses in none other than a country known more for electronics than consuming coffee beans – Korea!

That’s right – those in the know released the results of a campaign conducted on Korean buses whereby the aroma of coffee was sprayed onto buses by Dunkin’ Donuts, utilizing the latest in technology in yet the cleverest rendition of innovative advertising to surface in the “Mad Men” industry yet!

Sales went up, coffee consumption soared, and execs at Dunkies were mighty pleased with the results of the dramatic campaign.

Word on the street is that they don’t yet plan on bringing this sort of subliminal advertising to the T or the States, but expect to hear of more companies taking a hard look at how this strategy might be incorporated into the sale of their products!

Or is it time to foresake the old favorites and find the newest and best new construction on the valuable streets and roadways of our own special communities?

A street where everybody knows your name perhaps?

Or a stately boulevard such as Fair Oaks Park in Needham?

Well the Boston Globe has just released their take on this age-old dilemma, and you may be surprised by their findings…
