Oprah‘s OWNOPRAH WINFREY NETWORK– is celebrating  it’s 1 month birthday!

She promised extraordinary stories, meaningful experiences, and a  slate of shows that would thrill, inspire, and reverberate with innovation.

Did she deliver?

A look at an episode of the “Gayle King Show” resulted in mixed emotions.  Gayle is relaxed in front of the camera, and she’s honest and forthright in her comments and opinions – all good.

But chatting up a radio audience is quite different from chatting up a television audience used to crisp sound bytes and special effects.

Best friend Gayle is smooth and classy, but the set is boring, the theme music lackluster, and the guests??

Let’s just say viewers are treated to several yawns on this front.

Shake it up!  Spin it around!  Empty out the blahs and add the spice and sassy which is Gayle’s hallmark.

Ellen dances at the top of each show.  Let Gayle sing us out to her fav songs or swoon over her idols.

Use the woman’s savvy and sauce for goodness sake!  If this show ever expects to have a chance at ‘MUST SEE TV,’ then it needs an infusion of exhiliration mixed in with a measure of froth and bubbly!

Capture the sparkle of a Katy Perry and the controversy of a Ricky Gervais!

Let the magic of Gayle out of the bottle!  …Before it’s too late!

How are you liking things so far?

Does OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network and/or the Gayle King Show have its finger on the pulse of Oprah’s devotees??

Is OWN delivering on its promises?  Or is it time for an overhaul?
