Something for Everyone At Bobby’s Grille in Wellesley

The hype has grown steadily over the past months.

The Wellesley food scene, at one time known for just the Wellesley Inn (okay that was a VERY long time ago,) has grown exponentially over recent years to start to become a player of sorts in greater Boston’s western suburbs.

No longer do we have to trek into Boston for fine dining, nor do we have to face the traffic congestion of the highways for a casual meal.

Adding to the burgeoning lineup of eateries in the lower falls  is BOBBY’S GRILLE – –  – located at 11 Washington St., in close proximity to Papa Razzi’s and CK Shanghai, and under the culinary leadership of  Chef Stephen Bell, formerly of Savory Tastes Cafe in Reading,

Longtime Wellesley residents and culinary enthusiasts, Bob Walsh Sr. and his son, Bobby Walsh Jr., have collaborated to realize a life-long dream –opening the doors to BOBBY’S, a family-inspired upscale American grille.

BOBBY’S  offers a classic menu that features a variety of reasonably-priced menu items using original, creative homemade recipes perfected over the years in the Walsh family kitchen.
According to the owners, “Lunch guests will enjoy a variety of freshly made salads, soups (Lobster Bisque a la 81 is a highly sought after recipe already) and a carefully crafted sandwich menu that has something for everyone – highlights include the Filet Mignon Sliders served with grilled onions, sharp cheddar and spicy ketchup.

In the evening, guests will dine on house specialties such as Rack of Lamb with galette potatoes and a rosemary demi-glaze and BBQ Pork Tenderloin with renowned 81 BBQ sauce, sweet corn succotash, homemade cole slaw and French fried potatoes made to crisp perfection.

The 100-seat space provides diners with a warm, inviting atmosphere – with décor consisting of weekly floral arrangements at the entrance, exposed hardwood floors, white linen tablecloths with unique accent pieces, vintage high-backed black banquettes and a hand-crafted black walnut bar with brass fixtures.  Even the washrooms are adorned with a personal touch including fresh flowers and fine soaps for the guests’ comfort.  ”

A full bar including an array of carefully selected wines, beers, and signature cocktails is available.
