It’s A Beautiful Day…Ben Affleck in Wellesley

So said my wife…and apparently quite a few others as a Wellesley  neighborhood was treated to movie making in the first degree yesterday.

Reportedly, cast and crew are back again today for more filming in the Cliff Road setting.

Currently filming ‘The Company Men’ Ben Affleck, Cambridge’s home town raconteur, considers Boston a superb film locale.

And for the first time, Wellesleyites were happy to see snow!  Director John Wells had imported fake snow for the scene, an unusually rare occurence for we natives!

In addition to Affleck, Kevin Costner and Tommy Lee Jones star…

Affleck plays a high flyer –  porsche, big job, uber bucks, swanky home…

After his company downsizes due to the economy and Affleck loses his lifestyle and identity, he ends up working construction for his brother-in-law who installs drywall, played by Costner.

Jones is one of the guys left behind in Affleck’s corporate world, who struggles to keep the company afloat amidst the ‘unethical’ decisions of some of the partners.

An independently financed film, John Wells also wrote the script.
