Last year’s inaugural Bubbles & Bites event resulted in SHADE planting 100 trees and donating 10 SHADE structures along with sunscreen to the city of Boston!
Billy Costa and Chef Todd English are but a few of the local celebrities who will be helping to raise awareness about skin cancer and the sun.
A Celebrity Apprentice package, and tickets to Regis & Kelly are but a few of the auction items you can bid on.
Melanoma rates among young women jumped 50% between 1980 and 2004, according to the Journal of Investigative Dermatology.

The SHADE foundation is dedicated to educating the public about sun safety, and providing the most up-to-date medical information available.
Protection is key. There are now many more products available to protect our skin from dangerous UVA and UVB rays.
A young mother in Scottsdale, Arizona has spent the past 5 years formulating a terrific new product that protects the scalp – Sun Shadz.
It’s a translucent, micronized powder that you simply brush on your scalp and go! All natural and with SPF 15 protection, it’s safe for kids as well as for those boomers who might be experiencing thinning hair. Not greasy, or oily…it’s one of the new innovative products designed to protect against skin cancer.
The founder of Sun Shadz, Monica Sanders, lost her mother to melanoma of the scalp and set as her mission inventing a product which would be easy to use, and potentially life-saving.
Sanders has also created Hair Shadz, which offers the same sunscreen protection, but comes in colors which can be used for roots regrowth and blending.
Introducing Hair Shadz and Sun Shadz the first powdered
