Newton Open Studios Art Show

Thirty-five of the area’s best artists will be showcasing their work at Newton Open Studios’ first ever juried show this weekend. The exhibition will be open November 22nd and 23rd from 11 am to 5 pm at the Newton Cultural Center (225 Nevada Street).

Enjoy this great opportunity to view the artistic renderings of local artisans this weekend by cruising on over to the Newton Cultural Center.

The artists all hail from Newton and over 35 individuals work will be showcased during this juried event!  Also on display will be local crafts.  Jewelery, sculpture, and landscapes available for your viewing pleasure.

And the cost of the event???  ……Free!

Head South on Walnut street, for 1.1 miles. 2. Turn right on Center Street, and pass under Rt 9 (Center St. becomes Winchester St.) 3. Make slight right at stoplight, onto Needham Street. And then head on over to 51 Lincoln St in Newton Highlands for a dinner that will appeal to all foodies.  This neighborhood gem is under the helm of Chef Jeff Fournier and offers contemporary American cuisine in a bistro setting.

The service is very attentive and the ambiance is cool cafe chic.

The watermelon steak is particularly scrumptious!  You have to try it to believe it!

A fun wine list reasonably priced is available.

And best of all, you don’t have to drive all the way to Boston for gourmet fare.
